What is hyacinth carpet?

Water hyacinth (also known as water hyacinth) originates from South America, introduced to Vietnam around 1905. The plant is called water hyacinth because it has a raised petiole like a vase floating on the water. Water hyacinth reproduces very quickly, a mother plant can produce 2 times the number of seedlings per week. Water hyacinth  carpet is a carpet woven from dried water hyacinth fiber, completely natural and not combined with artificial materials, with bold simplicity and rustic character.
