September 2013, rubber exports reached 100 thousand tons, worth U.S. $ 223 million

According to estimates of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, rubber export volume of Vietnam in September reached 100 thousand tons worth 223 million dollars. With this estimate, the first 9 months of 2013 Vietnam exported 710 thousand tonnes with a value of over 1.68 billion, down 1.2% in volume and 17.8% in value compared with the same period in 2012.
Price of rubber exports in 2013 reached 8 months of $ 2,393.46 / ton, down 17.68% compared to the $ 2,907.35 price / ton in 2012.
China maintains that although the largest consumer market in Vietnam for 8 months (accounting for 42.7% of total export value), but a downward trend compared to 2012, decreased by 10.3% reduction in volume and 24.8% in value.
Rubber export market of Vietnam's No. 2 is Malaysia accounted for 21.2% of total export value in the first 8 months of the year. Rubber exports to this market increased by 17.2% in volume but down 6.8% in value over the same period last year.
