Improved quality soybean in Vietnam

Specifically , in 2012, an area of ​​only 127,000 hectares of soybeans , down more than 70,000 hectares in 2010, production dropped more than 110,000 tons compared to 298 700 tonnes in 2010 . Meanwhile , demand for feed production , average annual show business ( DN ) VN to spend about $ 2 billion to import wheat , corn , soybeans and soybean meal processing . In 2012 , VN imported 1.29 million tons of raw soybeans , up 26 % compared to 2011 due to strong sales of food and animal feed in the country . According to official statistics , soybeans were planted in 25 provinces throughout the country , with approximately 65 % in the northern region and 35 % in the southern region . Earlier this year , the Government also approved the master plan for development of agriculture production by 2020 and vision to 2030 . Accordingly , specializing in the planning area of about 100,000 ha of soy farming , utilizing rice land to increase service on 2020 planted area of about 350,000 hectares and production of 700,000 tons, the main production areas are the Red River Delta , central northern mountainous highlands . However, the scale of production so far is relatively small and does not meet the domestic demand . The main reason is the low crop yields , production costs are quite high and still harvest technology obsolete .
