Tire manufacturers will always grow?

Shipping is one of the important needs in daily life, most vehicles use rubber tires, so despite the global economic difficulties, the tire industry has had great expectations .

Tires manufactured vehicles vary according to use, but the general point that the majority of rubber material density (Table 1). Synthetic rubber and natural rubber are used to manufacture tires, natural rubber, however there are particular advantages of synthetic rubber which can not be replaced. Industrial tire industry consumes half the volume of global natural rubber. In heavy truck tires, natural rubber, accounting for 60-80% of the rubber used.

Asia Pacific is the region with many favorable factors for the production of rubber tires as a natural source of abundant, cheap labor costs should the world's leading companies to open factories to take advantage of the conditions existing in China, India, Thailand, ... in 2012, the estimated tire manufacturers in the world nearly 15 million tons (rubber only), Asia and Oceania accounted for 63%, in that China accounted for 36%, Japan 8% (Table 2). Three national leader in tire production is China, followed by the USA and Japan (BD 1, BD 2, BD 3). The type of transport is increasing not only in developed countries but also in the new and developing countries such as South Korea, China, India and Southeast Asia (Table 3, Table 4), pull follow the development of the tire manufacturing industry.


Consumption of automobile tires in the world currently about 1.3 billion units / year for replacement tires account for over 75% of revenue, the rest is a new installation. In particular, the passenger car segment for less than 9 seats and light trucks account for about 60% of revenue, in the 9 seat buses and heavy trucks accounted for 25% (4 BD, BD 5), the most consumed in the country development of Europe, Asia and America.

Rubber tires are manufactured nearly 150 years. There are many companies producing tires for over 50 years in countries like America, Japan, India, ..., the most remarkable is the Continental (Germany) - the company's oldest, founded in 1871, exists to date and is a leading company in the tire industry in the world (Table 5). Every year, Rubber & Plastics News Magazine (USA) ranked 75 leading tire company based world sales of the previous year. In 2012, Bridgestone Group Corp. continue to hold first place in ranking. Bridgestone's 2011 revenue increased by 7% over the previous year and reached $ 28.5 billion. Michelin continues in second place, revenues increased by 12% to $ 27.4 billion. Ranks third with Goodyear sales increased approximately 21% to reach 20.5 billion dollars and in fourth place was Germany's Continental (Table 6).


In the charts in 2012 with new companies from China are Shandong Hengfeng Tyre Co. Ltd.; Tongyong Jiangshu Tire Ltd; Shanxi Suanxi Tyre Co. Ltd.; Haoyou Tire Co. Ltd.; and Xinjiang Kunlun Tire Co. Ltd.

JSC Southern Rubber Industry - CASUMINA of Vietnam ranked 70 and a turnover in 2011 reached 138.5 million.
