In the recent International Agricultural, Forestry and Fishery Exhibition Fair, Dat Sach Co., Ltd. introduced a set of products made from coco peat as bio-soil, clean soil and plywood sheet.
Turn coconuts into many useful products

The Ben Tre people are no longer unfamiliar with the image of canals overloading coco peat that people pour down because they are considered as waste products. Many people feel sorry to bring back the original to keep the plants moist.

But for Mr. Vo Thanh Liem, this image reminds him of his father's saying: "There is nothing of coconut trees that is discarded, from the roots, roots to fruits ..., only human not fully exploited ".And a proof of the usefulness that he saw firsthand was the green gourd wire when planted in the coconut tree.

Graduated in chemistry major from Ho Chi Minh City University, but he started his career with construction materials industry. When the source of wood is limited, it is imperative that plywood producers have to find alternative materials. Testing a variety of plants, but in which coco peat results unexpectedly: there are lignin, termite, fungus, mold, so it is suitable for making plywood.

At that time, Mr. Liem recalled the image of green gourd wire when planted in coconut tree trunk.Instead of launching plywood products that saved the public, he launched clean soil products from cocopeat.

Coconut peat is discharged and removed impurities, using chemical methods to separate lignin in coconut and add useful micro-organisms, disease-resistant microorganisms and micro-nutrients, high nutritional value. The first test, his orchid friends enjoyed, green leaves and many roots. They encouraged him to introduce clean soil to the market.

"Will it be sold when it is new in our market and people are used to inorganic fertilizer," he wondered. "But when I went online, I was startled that the world was too familiar with the tendency to use organic fertilizers," he said.

Until he received the national technical innovation award for this product in 2001, he officially launched the product to the market with the name Proco, then changed to Clean Land Company Limited.

Clean soil has water repellent properties, good moisture retention, fast drainage, pest resistance ... suitable for ornamental flowers, false carbon, clean vegetables, or nursery and farm. Since its inception, the company has maintained a stable export volume to Taiwan. This is also the long-term direction of Clean Land.

Following the results, the company continued to research and launch new product, bio-soil, in 2005. With the microbial method to treat the acrid substance in coco peat into micro-salt, it acts as a type of fertilizer. Biological soil mixed with agricultural land increases soil fertility, improves soil fertility. Mr. Liem also called this "tonic" of the soil, suitable for improving sandy and clayy soil. It also works to reduce the number of watering and pest prevention. On average, one day the company produced 75 blocks of land. The company's major customers are GINO Co., Ltd., Ho Chi Minh City Green Park Company, Phu My Hung Joint Venture Company ...

The product that he took off and researched is a plywood panel from coco peat, until the new fair was released. This product has the same effect as okal plate, existing MDF.

Mr. Liem said that this material is durable, strong and safe due to the antifungal and termite resistance, so the plywood from acne does not use microbicides. Particularly durable, according to Mr. Liem, it has higher fire resistance than okal wood, high humidity resistance.

Test results of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Measurement show that the breaking force is from 90 kg / cm2 or more and 12 mm thick. In the country, there have been two partners negotiating technology transfer to produce plywood from cocopeat
